REFUND POLICY

This Cancellations & Refund Policy forms part of the Terms & Conditions of PlayTennis.ie (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking any service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this policy.

1. Bookings & Payment

  • All coaching sessions, courses, camps, and programmes must be paid in full in advance.

  • A booking is confirmed only once payment has been successfully processed.

  • Prices are correct at the time of booking and are non-negotiable once confirmed.

 

2. General Refund Position

  • All bookings are non-refundable, except where expressly stated in this policy.

  • This includes individual lessons, group coaching, courses, camps, and special programmes.

3. Individual Coaching Lessons

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled start time.

  • Where sufficient notice is given, the session may be rescheduled or credited at our discretion.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend, will result in the session being forfeited with no refund or credit.

 

4. Group Coaching, Courses & Camps

  • Group programmes are sold as a block and are not transferable or refundable once started.

  • Missed sessions for personal reasons (including illness, holidays, or scheduling conflicts) are not refundable.

5. Cancellations by PlayTennis.ie

We reserve the right to cancel or amend sessions due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Coach illness or unavailability

  • Unsafe weather conditions

  • Court closures or unavailability

  • Insufficient participant numbers

Where this occurs, we will offer one of the following:

  • A rescheduled session

  • A credit towards future coaching

  • A refund, where rescheduling is not reasonably possible

The appropriate option will be determined by PlayTennis.ie.

6. Weather Conditions

  • Tennis is a weather-dependent activity; sessions may proceed in the rain and wind at the coach's discretion. Bring appropriate rain gear.

  • If we deem conditions unsafe, sessions may be cancelled or modified.

  • Weather-related cancellations are not automatically refundable and are typically handled by rescheduling.

7. Medical Issues & Injuries

  • Temporary illness, minor injury, or fatigue does not entitle a participant to a refund.

  • For severe or long-term medical issues, requests for refunds or credits may be considered at our discretion and may require medical evidence.

  • Any approved refund or credit will be proportionate and not guaranteed.

8. Statutory Right to Cancel (EU Consumer Law)

  • For online bookings, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase, provided the service has not commenced.

  • Where coaching or a programme begins within this period, you expressly agree to waive your right to cancel once the service has started.

9. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method only.

  • Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 working days, subject to the payment provider.

​

10. No Cash Refunds

  • Refunds will not be issued in cash under any circumstances.

11. Policy Enforcement

  • This policy is applied consistently and fairly.

  • Requests for exceptions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, but PlayTennis.ie is under no obligation to grant refunds outside the terms stated.
