A Fun-Filled Week of Tennis This Halloween!
Keep your child active, entertained and enjoying their tennis during the Halloween midterm break!
The PlayTennis.ie Halloween Junior Tennis Camp takes place at Kilternan Parish Lawn Tennis Club from Monday 26 to Friday 30 October 2026.
Our camp combines professional tennis coaching with energetic games, movement activities, team challenges and supervised matchplay. It is suitable for beginners as well as children who already play tennis.
No previous tennis experience is required.

Our aim is to help every child develop their skills and confidence while making friends, staying active and having a brilliant week on court.
Who Is the Camp For?
The camp is suitable for children aged 6–13 of all playing abilities.
Beginners will be introduced to the basic skills of tennis through simple, enjoyable exercises. More experienced players will continue developing their technique, movement, consistency and matchplay.
Players will be organised into suitable groups based on their age, experience and playing ability.

What Should Your Child Bring?
Please ensure that your child brings:

A suitable tennis racket

Comfortable sports clothing

Appropriate tennis or sports footwear

A refillable water bottle

A waterproof jacket or raincoat

Any necessary medication
Children should arrive dressed appropriately for the weather conditions.
What Happens If It Rains?
The camp will continue in most weather conditions, so children should bring a waterproof jacket each day.
If the courts become temporarily unsuitable, we will use the clubhouse for supervised tennis-related games, quizzes, team activities and other suitable indoor exercises where possible.
Important Booking Information
Places are limited and must be booked in advance.
Each child requires a separate booking. Please ensure that all requested medical, emergency-contact and collection information is provided before the camp begins.
Missed camp days are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another child or future programme.
If PlayTennis.ie must cancel a session, parents and guardians will be contacted with further information.

What age groups are the camps suitable for?
Our Junior Camps are designed for children aged 6–13 years old.
Does my child need tennis experience?
No. We welcome complete beginners, improvers, and more experienced junior players. Children will be grouped appropriately where possible.
What should my child bring?
Please bring:

What happens in bad weather?
Our camps continue in most weather conditions. In periods of adverse weather, activities may move indoors to the clubhouse where children can enjoy:

Safety is always our priority.
How many children are in each camp?
We limit camps to 16 players per week to ensure quality coaching, safer supervision, and a more enjoyable experience for everyone.
Is Early Drop-Off available?
Yes. Supervised Early Drop-Off is available for an additional €25 for all 5 camp days.
Can my child attend with a friend?
Absolutely. Many children attend with friends, siblings, or teammates. We will do our best to keep friends together where suitable.
Are children supervised at all times?
Yes. Children are supervised by the coaching team throughout camp activities and during designated breaks.
What if my child has allergies or medical needs?
Please include all allergies, medical conditions, medications, injuries, or additional support requirements during the booking process so we can help provide a safe environment.
What footwear should children wear?
Children should wear runners or tennis shoes suitable for sports activity. Football boots or casual fashion footwear are not permitted on court.
What if my child misses a day?
Unfortunately, missed camp days cannot be refunded, transferred, or carried forward.
Do camps sell out?
Yes — places are limited and camps may sell out in advance. Early booking is strongly recommended.
